Side paths often have tight access. We check the gate and the route for concrete before pricing the work.

We set the levels at the coping, plan where water will run and use a finish with grip under wet feet.

Tell us what will go on the slab. A car hoist or boat needs a different build from a garden shed.
02. Planning both jobs
Plan the driveway and outdoor slabs together.
A small pour still needs setup, crew time and a concrete delivery. Doing it alongside the driveway can save some of those costs.

Before you decide on a finish.
What finish should I use around a pool?
Choose a finish with grip for wet feet. Exposed aggregate and stipple finishes are common options. Dark concrete can also get hot in full sun.
Can you match the alfresco to my driveway?
We can use the same finish, aggregate and colour. Separate pours can still vary slightly.
Access down the side of my house is tight. Is that a problem?
We need to check it. A narrow side gate may mean barrowing or pumping concrete, which adds labour and cost.
Do small slabs still need mesh and a proper base?
Yes. We assess the base and reinforcement for each slab, including small paths. Size alone does not remove the need for proper preparation.
Can this be done after the driveway, later on?
Yes. We can quote both areas now and do the outdoor slab later. Splitting the work may cost more because we have to set up twice.
